MEET THE STAFF

Deborah Kirkpatrick fills the position of director of HRR. Debbi has been in the field of ministry for the past twenty-five years and comes to us from Colorado Springs, where she previously served in the ministry of Focus On The Family, a Christian ministry concerned with the preservation of the family. As director she brings extensive business experience in marketing and management, in spiritual development, team building as well as having a true appreciation for the great potential of the Hunting Ridge facility.

Bobby and Meredith Owen joined the Ministry of Hunting Ridge Retreat, as Caretaker and Hostess, in January 2005. Both are 2005 graduates of Liberty University and both have degrees in Video Broadcasting and Communications. Besides their love of baseball, Bobby and Meredith enjoy camping, fishing for crab, and taking long walks with Bubba, their chocolate Lab.

BOOKING SCHEDULE

Hunting Ridge Retreat is a beautiful facility to host your retreats, summer camps, family reunions, and company or church picnics! We are in the process of booking our calendar for 2005 - 2006. Call soon and reserve your date! Remember, along with the use of the Pavilion, you can enjoy a little (or a lot) of fishing, tennis, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, and 350 acres of hiking trails.

CHRISTMAS

It is not too early to start planning for your Christmas Parties and Season Retreats. Our Lodge is a beautiful place with a roaring fire in the fireplace and all decked out for the Holiday Season. Come and enjoy and evening gathered around the old piano singing Christmas Carols. We have a great menu planned. We are now accepting reservations for your company, church, or other group's Holiday Parties. Call now and let us work with you in making this year's Christmas Celebrations, ones to remember!

RENOVATED CABINS

What a blessing to have our cabin renovation project finished. Our guests this summer were very appreciative of the new central air and larger bathrooms. Thank you to everyone who made these changes possible.

CAMPGROUND

We continue to get rave reviews for the beautiful new campground built by Eagle Scout, Douglas Omps. There is space at this campground for a single family or for as many as 10 tents! Here you can sleep and listen to the sounds of Hogue Creek falling over the rocks and the coyotes howling in the distance (don't worry - they're quite shy!). Bring out your family, or your Sunday school class, for a great night of secluded camping at HRR. Please call ahead to the HRR Office to make sure the campground is not reserved.

JAMES LAKE AND TINDALL LAKE

We are in the process of restocking the both lakes. All fishing is 'catch and release' until further notice.
